Established in 2002, Live Rough Clothing was formed by three U.S. “Wilderness Management Enthusiasts”: Nick, Matt and Chad.

Five years later in 2007, Chad was diagnosed with cancer. Even being seriously ill did not stop his spirit from their living rough motto, and he was able to mentally and spiritually beat his cancer numerous times before passing a year later.

Nick has maintained his Live Rough Collection not just in remembrance of Chad, but also to signify himself and his fellow public servants who are “living rough” for weeks on end in middle of nowhere.

With our recent government shutdown, the purpose has shifted to helping furloughed firefighters, law enforcement, military personnel and anyone else who “lives rough.”
