I know most of you are chomping on the bit to throw some flies as you wait for opening day. Or, you’ve already been out in the cold like me – and are even more pumped to get even more time on the water. Well, mark your calendars for this FREE L.L. Bean fishing event on March 22, 23 and 24th.

Typically the event features some demo tiers Friday evening where you can sit down and watch how they create a few patterns. You can even try your hand and follow along.

Saturday and Sunday are filled with casting demonstrations, speaker presentations, knot tying, more demo tying and information tables from various groups.

As an L.L. Bean Outdoor Discovery School casting instructor, I get to help coordinate the event and have been reaching out to potential speakers. There are some neat things in the works for March, so stay tuned for more updates as we solidify the schedule.
