Here’s a fun, buggy pattern to try. Very simple to construct – and over time I think I’ll be able to make the bodies better. And you can substitute materials to make a variety of bugs. Try quills for the body, or synthetics. Mix up the colors and have fun. That’s all that matters.
Hook: Curved, Your Choice
Body/Rib: 2 strands of Moose Mane
Thorax: Hare’s Ear
Wingcase: CDC Pulled over
Thread: Tan 8/0 or Your Choice
After you whip finish the fly, hit the body with some UV Resin to harden it up and you are done. ~Drifter07
