Nick’s Fly Shop Now Open

Well, not quite. But I did pick up this sweet watchmaker’s cabinet from my friends over at Salvaged PGH. They recently sourced a bunch of these things and man, are they cool. Each tray has a bunch of little paper boxes that once held watch parts. Perfect place to store fly patterns as you tie them up. And it is kinda cool to visit your own fly shop before heading out for a day on the water.

And if you are interested, be sure to visit the shop in Wexford to see them for yourselves. They have around eight left now. Believe me, these things are cool. It just takes a little elbow grease to clean them up a bit.

I think the next thing I’m going to do is handwrite small labels on the outside of the six drawers as I tie new bugs up. Then label them:

  • Dry Flies
  • Emergers
  • Mayfly & Stonefly Nymphs
  • Streamers
  • Attractors & Terrestrials

Happy tying. And storing. ~Drifter07
